Evaluating innovation

Knowing that only 44% of public sector innovations are evaluated COI continues to facilitate discussions between researchers and practitioners across different fields in order to continuously make it easier and more attractive to document value-adding solutions and the value of innovative actions.

COI has published a short report, written by evaluation expert Professor Peter Dahler-Larsen on how to evaluate innovative actions. Furthermore COI has developed a hands-on guide through four phases of evaluating innovative actions.

The guide was co-created with researchers and practitioners across all levels of government aiming to make it significantly easier and more attractive for innovation practitioners to evaluate and learn which innovative actions turn in to valuable innovative solutions – an important prerequisite for the spreading of innovations.
