Barometer

Statistics on private sector innovation has been conducted by the OECD for the past 20 years. Gaining an equally systematic knowledge on public sector innovation serves to inspire public workplaces to become more innovative and efficient and as input to decision makers and further research. Finally knowledge from the Barometer is an important base for COI’s other activities.

The barometer has been published as a package of 12 thematic folders, videos, a report and separate thematic analysis on education and municipalities and a book available for download (in Danish with introduction in English). The barometer has been developed in collaboration with Statistics Denmark and The Danish Centre for Studies in Research and Research Policy. OECD has expressed an interest in developing the Oslo guidelines for collecting and interpreting technological innovation data to include public sector innovation.
